Journalism and Headline

Journalism is a discipline of collecting, analyzing, verifying, and presenting news regarding current events, trends, issues and people. Those who practice journalism are known as journalists.

News-oriented journalism is sometimes described as the "first rough draft of history" (attributed to Phil Graham), because journalists often record important events, producing news articles on short deadlines.

A headline is text at the top of a newspaper article, indicating the nature of the article below it. Headlines are generally written by copy editors, but may also be written by the writer, the page layout designer or a news editor or managing editor.
